MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS,

Alburnia.— Duriug tho past day or two none of the reof in tho No. 7 stopo hae been taken down, as tho men wore (jinking a wiuze. A little gold baa been frequently soen in Dixon's reef in the leading and second sfcopeß.also at the 70-foot level. The reef in the eastern drive at the same level is four foet thick, carries good gold, and occasionally colours of gold are aeon. At tho battery the general quartz has been shaping somewhat better. There are 6280z of amalgam on hand for the week from berdauß and pans only. Calliope.—The reef shows a good deal of mineral and o, few dnbs of gold.

Red Mercury.—The hangingwall of the reef is 18 inches wido, and gold can bo got from any portion by pounding.

Try Fluke. -At No. 3 level bhe prospects are improving. The etopes on No. 1 and 2 reefs are supplying a fair quantity of average ore. There are 191oza of amalgam on hand from the plates.

Hazelbank. —Gold is frequenbly <seen in Darby's reef in the western drive ab the N 0.2 intermediate. A little gold is also seen in the stopes over the eastern drive. In the loading stope ab the back of the drive the lode is 8 inches thick, shows gold freely and a few pieces of picked stone ore obtained. From tho appearance, picked stone may be expected here this week as tho drivo is nearly up to the place where gold was obtained, So far, the reef has nob been picked up on tbe western side of tho break.

Moanataiaui.—Gold is frequently seen when breaking down the quartz on tho Golden Age reef footwall lead above Poinb Russell level, bub only 5 or 61b of picked stone were secured. A few dabs of gold wore also seen in a leader on the footwail of bhe Reuben Parr lode ab the old Dauntless level. For the week, 64 tons of quartz have been crushed for 38oz of amalgam, and 226 tons of surface dirb for 230z of amalgam.
