FIGHTING AT RIO DE JANEIRO,
THE CITY BOMBARDED,
REPULSE OF THE REBELS,
Washington, September 13. News from Brazil otatos that the rebels, undor cover of a heavy bombardment, repeatedly attempted to land at Rio de Janeiro.
The forts, however, shelled the rebel warship, and tho Royalißt troops repulsed every attack.
The rebels lost eighty men in the engagement.
The forts prevented the rebel warships running to sea.
