MR KISSLING'S RETIREMENT.

Wellington, this day. When Mr Theo. Kissling, Registrar of Deeds at Auckland, retires ab the end of tho year, I understand there will be general promotion in tbo Land Transfer Office. His place will be taken by Mr Bamford, of Napier, who vacates his position in favour of Mr Bridge, of Wei-, lington. Mr Carlesse, Deputy Registrar in the Stamp Department at1 Dunedin, will betransferred from Duuedin to Wellington. / [Mr Theo. Kissling is an old Government' servant, having been connected with thel New Zealand Civil Service for over thirty years past. He joined the service when about eighteen years of age, and wasfor sometimo Examiner of Tiblos in Auckland. Ha occupied an official position in the Supreme Court at Auckland for some years, and was alßo Deputy-Commissioner of Stamps. For tho past tifteon years or so he hns beon Registrar of Deeds at Auckland, arid is now about to retire on his pension, ho being entitled to it under the provisions of the old Pensions Act.]
