CORRESPONDENCE.
THE RESCUE FROM
DROWNING.
(To tho Editor.)
Sir,—There seems always a mieraken notion bhat the Royal Humane Society take action of their own accord in any case of plucky rescue of life if it be duly recorded in the daily newspapers. Cognisance of such is only taken when laid before the Society in proper and authentic form, the facts being certified to by any person or persons witnessing the occurrence. The agent of the Society, Mr Jackeon Palmer, M.H.R., is at present in Wellington, therefore, if " Eye Witness " will cull at my address at foot I shall be happy to make out the necessary forms for him to certify to as an eye witness. I might add that there is no expense attached thereto.—Yours, etc., B, Hadrill. 6, Coorabee' Arcade.
