PONSONBY NAVAL PRESENTATIONS.
On Monday nighb Capbnin Miller, of the Ponsonby Naval Artillery Volunteers, made no less than 119 presentations after parade to tho members of his corps. First twenty-three successful candidates who had passed in gunnery, and three who had passed in submarine mining, wero presented with their badges. Then Gunner Vasoy was presented with the New Zealand war medal for services rendered in the Waikato campaign. PottyOfficsr John McEwan next rocoived Mr Peacocke's medal for first-class shooting, and Seaman Joynb received Lieutenant Graham's prize of a set of gold sbuds for winning the competition for third-class shots. Tho members wero all then prosonted with photographs of the shooting team of 1892-93. After all this epoechifying and congratulating, Captain Miller an-1 nounced that a match of ton mon aside hud been arranged to tako place on Saturday next between H.M.s. Tauranga and the Company. NEW SOUTH WALES MEETING. The first competition for choice of representatives for tho New South Walos Rifle Association Meeting nexb month was proceeding ab the Mounb Eden Range this afternoon.
