I regard it rb a moat valuable publication, which I believe will be productive of advantage to Now Zealand, and to many persons whom it ia likely to induce to settle in this country. " I have forwarded copies of ib to several influential friends in Kngland who, I havo no doubc, will assist tho circulation of your work. The public of Now Zealand are under a debt of gratitude to you for a book which so agreeably and truthfully describes a home which has for us so many advantaces and charms. I cannot close this note without recording my opinion of the excellent manner in which this work has been brought out by the publisher, Mr Brett, who has done so much to promote the interests of Now Zealand by his publications descriptive of this country and its history.—Faithfully yours, (Sd), G.
