I THE EDEN ELECTORATE.

Wellington, this day. The Hon. E. Mifccholson announces that he will be a candidate for the electorate of ikon, and that he will go to tho poll ai.-ainsball comers. =Mr B. H. J. lleeves, ex-member for Inangnhua, has sent the following reply to resolutions passed at a meeting at Reefton on Saturday: — "Stout cannot in honour bound stand for Inangahaa against me. I regret vary much the action you have taken. Surely tho number of youra I have faithfully served tho district doserve more consideration ab your hand?, I intend contesting tho seat against till comers, and confidently trust to tho woll-known spirit of fair play that characterises my old constituency."
