New Plymouth, this day. Harold Thomson was last night presented with a gold watch and chain and a purse of sovefeigns, subscribed by the public for the capture of Wallath, the supposed highwayman. Holmes, who assisted, was presented with a diamond ring. The Mayor made the presentation. WaLath .was brought before the R.M. this mormng, charged wibh trying to escape from goal, and was sentenced to be kopt in irons for 30 days.
