Yesterday aftornoon the steamers Gairloch, for Waitara and New Plymouth, and Mahinapua, for Southern ports, took their departure shortly after one o'clock. The brigantine Silver Cloud, bound for Hokianga to load timber for Sydney, was 'towed down the harbour by tho s.s. Tatn O'Shanter yesterday. The Northern Company's s.s. Glenelg, from Hokianga, arrived at an early hour this morning, bringing a cargo of gum and several passengers. She left again for Waneanui via Opunake at 4 o'clock to-day, taking a mixed cargo of drain pipes, sugar, drapery and sundries.
