SWEATING IN WELLINGTON

Wellington, this day. At a meeting of the Trades and Labour Council last night, a letter was received referring to sweating in the city, and stating that ootton shirts wore being sub let for 2a 6c! per dozen, Crimean shirts for 33, and Crimean gussets for 3s 6cl per dozen, whereaa warehouse prices ranged from Ts 6d to 10s Gd par dozen. Tbo writer of the letter Btated she was working at these sweating prices, but could not earn enough to keep her in food.
