SUMMARY REPORT.

There lias been a rather quieb market during the past month, and prices are about £1 lower. Supplies have been below tho average. Stocks in hand of brokers have rarely been smaller, Tiut for this lower rates might have been expected. We quote as follows ; — East Coast '• £70 Ordinary .\ ... £47 to £48 Poor ordinary ... ... ... £33 to £45 Suppiios from mail to mails 635. Tho exports for the week are:—For London : Per s.s. lonic, 163 tons; per s.s. Tongariro, 20 tons ; per s.s. Mamari, 122 tons ; Rangitikoi, 50 tons ; via Sydney, 41 tons. For Europe : Via Sydney, 12 tons, i'or New York: Per Queen, 208 tons: Total, 616 tons. Tho John McDermott is loading for New York, to sail end of this month, to be, followed by the Clan Ferguson, to sail end of July, and the Ephialtes.
G. VV. Binnei* and Sons' Report.—On Tuesday we cleared an average catalogue of hides, sheep skins, etc. All well cared for lots sold at lull rates, but scored, cut and badly salted sold at nominal prices. Picked extra stout sold from 5d to s|d; heavy stout, 4d to <1&d ; stout, 3^d to 3Ad; thin sheety ox and steer, 2kl to 3d. Cows are in short supply and figures range from 2d to 2;2d." Kip, 2d to 3d. calf, 4d \o 4|d; stags, Id to 2d per Ib. Sheepskins : Competition is very brisk, local green selling from 3s to os 4d each ; country salted, 2a 6d to 43 9d ; dry, clean, sound, pelted, well woolled, equal Sd to s?d per ib. Tallow : Besb, 20s to 23s 6d ; medium, 16s to 18s per cwt; rough fat, lid to 1M per lb. Bones : 80s to 85s per cwt. Hair, horns, and cow tail tips :No change to report.
