_ According tc latest advice the Norwegian ship, Ugglan, 895 tone, which visited this port eomo time ago, has changed hands for £140. She is now owned by the Hannevig Shipping Company. The Shaw Savill direct steamer Coptic, from London, left Capetown on Monday last for Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. Messrs L. D. Nathan and Co. are the local agents of the steamer. Tha brigantine Gleaner, 23 daya out in ballast from Noumea, arrived last evening. She experienced a succession of head winds and rouzh weather throughout the voyage, and when on the coast she had to run under the Greab Barrier for shelter. At 5 p.m. yesterday the c.c. Tarawera arrived from Sydney with passengers and general cargo,"and berthed at the Railway Wharf. She experienced dull, gloomy weather on the passage, with strong head winds and heavy seas. There were occasional rain squalls.
