DEFEAT OF THE MINISTRY.
Adelaide, Juno 13. The Government were defeated to-day or a, surprise motion by the Opposition, who moved the adjourninenb of the House directly the adoption of tho Addreas-in-lieply bad been mo.ved. The amendment waa carried by '27 to 25. Sir Johc Downes, Premier, was excessively annoyed, at tho occurrence and complained of the "contemptuous treatment" the Govern* meut had received from the Opposition. Adelaide," this day. The Government will ondeavour to go on with the Address-in-Reply, considering the action of the Opposition unprecedented.
