Hamilton, this day. The R.M. gave judgment to-day in the case of McPherson v. George Edgecumb9| charged with wilfully and knowingly allowing himself to be nominated as a caudidata for a member of the Kirikiriroa Road Board knowing he was not eligible. The information was a criminal one. .
The judgment was very full. The R.Nf. ruled that Mr Edgecumbe's nomination' was in due form, that the Returning Officer was entirely wrong in not accepting Edgecumbe's nomination and posting id up, and also in not putting Edgeeumbe's name on the.roll when requested to do so. The information was dismissed, with costs £29 against Captain McPherson.
