(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

Wellington, this day. In the telegraphic chesH match between the Otago and Wellington Club 3, Wellington won five games, and Otago one. Of the remaining six games, which are to be adjudicated on by Mr Hookham of Christchurch, two will probably be awarded to Wellington, one to Otago, and three drawn. If this anticipation proves correct the tinal scores will be Wellington, 8£; Otago, 3£.
