Messbs Hunter and Nolan's Report.— Cattle: The supply has been an average one, and the previous week's prices for all descriptions have been maintained. There was a good muster at the Newmarkeb salo on Tuesday, and competition was p,ood throughout; exceptionally good dairy cows maintained their value, bub for inferior animals prices were in favour of the purchaser. Beef ranged from 19s to 22s par 1001b, and steers averaged from £5 19a to £8 3s ; cows, £4 to £5 17s 6d. Sheep :An average number were penned at Newmarket on Tuesday. There was a slightly upward tendency in tho value of well-fatted young sheep, but those not sufficient up in condition were a little disappointing to the vendors. Whethers sold at from 10s to 17a 9J ; ewes, 9s to 15s ; lamba, 5s 3d to 10s each. Pigs were in short supply, and sold at from 2hd to 3d per lb live weight, Messrs A. Buckland and Sons' Weekly Report.— At tho Haymarkub during tho pasb week meadow hay ranged in price from 2s 6d to 3s; oaten sheaves, 2s 9d to 3a; straw. Is 6d ; pressed hay, 4s 6d the cwb ; oats, 2s Id to 2s 3d ; maize, 3s 6d ; wheat, 2s Id to 2b 3d the bushel; potatoes, 51s; carrots, 26s the ton. On Friday sound horso stock of all classes sold freely : Heavy draught £18 to i''23 ; medium draught, £*9 to £14 ; strong riding, £8 to £12 each. On Tuesday bidea, skins, and wool fully kepb late values: Ox hides ranged from 2Jd to 4fd ; cow hides, Hd to 2/, d ; calfskins, Id to 42d per "lb; tallow, ISa 6rf to 18s 9d the cwt; rough fab, l^d to l^d the lb. Sheep skins continued their high values. Fresh skins broughb from 3s 2d to 3a 9d each ; lambs wool, 6jd ; (loece and ii pieces, 4d to 6d the lb. At Romuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle of all classes were in request; cows ab profit broughb from £7 to £S 10s ; backward cows, £4 to £5 15s each ; store cattle plentiful, kept thoir late values; cows were from £2 5s to£3!2s6d ; Htrongheifercalves,36s; steers, 36s to 455; two ye'ur Bteers, £3 12s 6d; three-year steers, £4 123 6d to £5 2s 6d ; heifers, £3 10s; calves in usual numbers, 45 sold, were at late values. Fat cuttle in average number, 200 head sold, were firm ab last week's quotations ; steer 3 were from 193 to 225; cows, 153 to 17s the 1001b; prices for fat steors ranged from £6 15s to £11 7s 6d ; cows, i'A to £6 l'2s 6d each. Sheep plentful, 1,435 sold, last week's values sustained j wethers were from 10s to 16s 6d ; ewes, 9s co 14s; lambs, 7s 6d to 10s each. I'igs in less than usual numbers, 35 sold, were at extreme prices ; heavy pigs from £2 10a to £4 2s 6d; porkers, 20s to 44s each ; slips, 9a. Messes G. W. Binney and Sons' Retort.—Ab our woekly eale of hides, sheepskins, tallow, etc., late quotations wore maintained under brisk competition. Damaged and badly-flayed hide 3 sell ab very low prices. Prime ox sell from 5d to skl; heavy stout, 4d to 4id; stout. 3|d to 3Jd; sheety ox and steer, 2jtd to 3d; cow, 2d to 2gd; web and badly-flayed, lid to ljd ; kips, Xgd to 3d ; calf, 3d to 4Jd; stags, Id to lie] per lb. Sheepskins: Local green from 33 3d for small crossbreds, to 3s 8d for longwools; country dry, 5d to 5Jd per lb. Tallow : Best, 21s to 23s ; medium, 17s to 18s; inferior, 8.3 to 12s per cwt. Hough fab, lid to lid per lb. Bones, £4 to £4 5s per ton.
