STREET OBSTRUCTION.

(To the Editor).

Sir, —The obstruction case before the police court last Wednesday will, perhaps, encourage the police in moving on the gangs of ruffians who have their place of rendezvous at or near the junction of Wake-field-street and Upper Queen-street. I was passing there one night this week", and the filthy language and disgusting behaviour of these larrikins render ie unfit for ladies and \ children to pass down that part of the street. I wish to add my protest to the many that have already been made on this subject, and to hope that the magistrates will tine heavily all against whom this charge can be proved.—l am, etc, A.L.F.
