THREE PER CEInT. ON CAPITAL AND
WORKING EXPENSE.,
(by telegraph.—press association.)
Wellington, this day. •The railway rrevenue for the financial year is £1,181,000. The expenditure has not yet been accurately determined, owing to store accounts not being balanced, but it is certain the net revenue will exceed £445,000, which will eive 3 per cent, on the capital expended in construction and working. This is the highest percentage yet recorded, and the Commissioners attribute the satisfactory position to increases in passenger traffic and in all classes of goods.
