A "BRUSH" WITH NATIVES,

"News from Thursday Islands Btates tbab the Dutch ship Java, had a severe brush with the natives of Aroo Island during January 2nd. Tho natives wore led by a religions fanatic, who induced them to believe thab ho could restore the life of all who tell fighting in his cause. The Dutch found the village barricaded, and fired into it, also landing an armod force. The action resulted in 40 natives being killed, aud 10 Dutchmen wounded, bub the latter are all right now.
