The following, which is of special interest to the shipping and commercial community, is taken from the " Hawke'a Bay Herald" :—"The wool which has hitherto been delayed is pouring into Napier from all points. The provision'in the bay in the shipping line is this year very inadequate to the demands that the distriot might fairly make. There are now only three ships in the bay. Of these two are full, and the remaining ono, the Zealandia, is quite unable to take all tbe wool which is offering. In consequence of this, wool which should be shipped and credited- to this port has to be taken to other ports, to the very great detriment of Napier as a shipping centre. The s.s. Tainui is due here from the South to load with frozen meat from the North British and Hawke's Bay Company, and we hear that all her cargo space for wool, etc., is engaged down South. Considering the rapidly growing importance of Napier as a port of export, more attention should be paid to us by the shipping comr.-Jw.'1
