TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB'S SPRING MEETING. ,
The Spring Meeting of the Takapuna Jockey Club on Saturday passed oft successfully, and the racing throughout was of an interesting character. A fair number of spectators were present, bub the totalisator receipts showed a great falling off compared with the laatT.J.C. Spring Meeting, only £3.108 going through the machines against £4,746. Mr Blomfield and staff worked the machines in their usual business - like manner. Tho meeting was well conducted, and the races were got off pretty punctually to time, thanks to tho exertions of Mr Wynyard (the secretary), Mr Alison, and the other officers of the Club. During the progress of the meeting Mr J. Hands purchased the jumping horse Flukem. The concluding events of the meeting resulted :— j Handicap Maiden Plate of 30sovs. One mile. 84—Mr J.
