At Flemington this morning I'ortsea in viewofthoPhcenixHandicapat Moone Valley races to-day, spurted over six furlongs in lmin 21sec. Ulric, Carroway, Vesialiu, and Magic Circle were also indulged in shorb sprints preparatory to the same meeting. For tho Moonee Valley Cup Magic Circle and Ulric are most fancied. Titan strode over a mile and a-half,in 2min 45soc. Camoola beat Autonomy by half a furlong, covering the Derby distance in 2min 43sec. Donation accompanied the pair. and also finished in front of the guineas winner. Hopetuwn finished a mile and a quarter in 2min l7Aeec. Jack, list 21b, did a raile in i'min 'iGJsoc and Bungebah 6 furlongs in lminSOsee. For the Derby, Autonomy,has receded to 100 to 9. For the- Cup, ftl'alvolio is easier, nnd tho lateab quotation is 100 to 10. Even money is offered that Camoola will baat him, A wager of £5,000 has boen taken aboub St Albans at 100 to 5, and £10,000 about Littlo Bernio down to 100 to G.; Both Penance and Steadfast are ailing, the latter having thrown v splint.
