THE ONEHUNGA SHOOTING CASE.
JONES' SENTENCE REMITTED,
(BY TKLEORAm.— I'RESS ASSOCIATION.)
Wellington, Friday. At a meeting of tho Cabinet to-day, it was decided to recommend tho Governor to remit the remainder of the sentence of the prinoner Jones, who is at present undergoing a sentonce of 14 years' penal servitude for shooting a man at Onehunga. Jones has already sorved about eight years of his term, and during that period his conduct has been of a very exemplary nature. .
