AH the Agents-Uoneral for the Australaotan colonies (with the exception of Sir Saul Samuel, who is unwell) and a largo number of colonists at present in London, wore entertained at luncheon od board bhe New Zealand and Australasian Steamship Company's new Bteamer Mfowera. Mr Fitzgibbon, Chairman of the Melbourne Metropolitan Board of Works, in proposing the health of the owners of tho vesdel, «poke in defence of the colonies, who, be said, keenly felt the temporary reproaches cast; flpon them. " Mr J. Munro, Agent-Gener&l for Victoria, responded to the toasb of the colonies.
