DEATH OF MR E. WEEKES.
Mr E. Wcekes, tho well-known Indian buyor, died yesterday,
Melbourne, Thursday. At Caulfield this morning Theodore boat Correzo over a ini.o and a-halt in 2min 48sec, whilht Moli had the best of Dundos over tho wuno distance, but took half a second longer than TheoJoro to accomplish tho task. Sternchaser was given long inecliuin pacing work, and Tirailleur was not on tho track, being away fop swimming oxorcise. The Cup favourite, Malvolio, waß bunt over two miles and a-half at threoquarter pace. Tho hotting market is still dull, and pricea aro virtually unchanged. A wngor of £500 to £'100 baa been taken about Camoolu for tho Derby, and several about St. Albans 11. for the- Melbourne Cup at 100 to 4.
Cresford and Litigant have been scratched for tho Melbourno Cup.
