Sydney, October 20. In tlio second series, 700 yards, of tho Dangar Match, Volunleor McCarthy, of Auckland, secured tho becond prize of £8 with a flcoro of 13. I'urnoll, VVonfjanui, 3S ; and Doughty, Auckland, 30, also take prizos in tho same aeries. In tlio a^fjre;;atos of tho Dnngar Match McCarthy takes second prizo of ;U2O with a i-eoro of SO ; I'urnoll, sixth prizo of £7, with 73; and Doughty, 29th prizo of i' 2, with 77.

The thirty-second annual prizo mooting of tho Now South Wales Riflo Association wqb commenced on Monday last, at tho now lillo range of Rand wick. According to the "Sydnoy Morning Herald" of tho 15th inst., up to fcho 15th, 783 riflomon had entered for protty well everything on the prograrmno, and it was expected that poat ontries, later in" tho evening, woul'l raise tho total to over 000. Tho prize money offered in principal matches runs into £3,500, and thcro wero also offered for competition many valuable trophies. For instance, in tho intercolonial match, in which Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, Tasmania, Now Zealand, and New South Waloa aio reproscntod, tho M'Grogor Challenge Cup, valued at £500, together with 10 gold medals, is ollcred for competition.

Ono of tho now features of tho programme is a Carbine Match, open to members of tho naval, military, and dofonco forces of tho British Empiro, cadets, and mombors of tho Now South Wales polieo force. Prize money to tho amount *Bf i'OO is olfered. Amongst tho competitors aro :—Parliamentary, opon to all members of Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly ; Frees, opon to bona fide reporters who havo ropresonted any newspapers during thii mooting : Servico Revolver (continuous) open to all comers ; any rovolver (continuous) open to all comers. About 140 riflumon from outsido colonies will take part in tho competition. Up to tho 14th insb. arrivals had been roportcd at tho rango as follows :—Victoria, 43 ; Queensland, .'!2: South Australia, 20; Tasmania, 16; Now Zealand, 10. Colonel Ponno, A.A.G., is in charge of tho Victorians, Captain K. Hutchison is in chargo of tho Quoenslanders and Major l'urnell is in chargo of tho Now Zealandcrs.
