THE LAND BILL.
The Hoiieo mado poor progress with tho Land Bill in Committee, and rose at 1.30 this morning, Sir George Grey made a number of speeches, and called for several divisions. His wonderful vigour is tho subject of universal remark, and his determined attempts to secure a relaxation of settlement conditions on behalf of small holders of land extort -id miration oven from those opposed to! him.
NATIVE AFFAIRS.
The Native Affairs Committee sab to-day on the Norbh Island Railway Loan Applica-; tion Bill, when amendments wero agreed to on the lines of the pledge given by the Minister to the nativo deputation last ni^ht.
