GLADSTONE AND LABOUCHERE.
ANOTHER EXPLANATION.
London, September 5.
Gladstone, in a private letter to a gentleman, stated that Labouchere's opposition to the Royal grants was no bar to his taking office, but he was not asked to join the Ministry because of certain incidents connected with his position and occupation as editor and proprietor of " Truth."
