TO-MORROW'S OPERA CONCERT.
The next grant concerts of tho Royal Italian Opera Company will take place to-morrow (Thursday) and Friday evenings ab the City Hall. The programmes comprise Home of the most attractive gems of tho repertoire. At to morrow's concert Signora Cuttica will for the first timo enact the great mad scene from " Lucia," her performance of which, during the Sydney and Melbourne seasons created a furore. The*rest of the past two nights having thoroughly restored the Signora's voice to its normal brilliancy and extraordinary facility of execution, sho will also be heard in her great rendition of Ganz's "Sing, Sweot Bird," which had to be omitted from the opening programme. Tho prima donna will also take part in othor operatic scenas and concerted numbers, while all tho momberH of tho Company will bo afforded equal opportunity for tho display of their splendid powers. Public intoreat in the performances of this great Company may be said to have awakened with a bound, and the Auckland public have proved to demonstration that their reputation for musical appreciation is founded upon more substantial basis than more fancy. Certain it is that no more instant or onthusiastic recognition has ever beon, or could possibly bo accordod to any operatic or othor artistic organisation, than that which has been manifested during the appearances of this great Company, whose briefly heralded advent to Auckland possessos all tho element of surprise. It may bo taken for granted that during the remainder of the concerts tho house will be crowded.
