Tho Northern Company's s.s. Gairloch, from New Plymouth, arrived on Saturday afternoon with « gonorat carfjo and sovoral posaengors, as nbovo. Slio left nfiain at one o'clock today for Waitara, with a cargo of atoro cattle and passengers. At 6.30 o'clock on Saturday night tho Union Company's B.a. Takapuna, 9,30 tons, Captain J. Grunt, arrived from boutlfern ports. Sho loft Lyttolton at 8 p.m. on tho Ist, Wellington at 5 p.m. on tho 2nd, and New Plymouth at 7.30 ft.m. or tho 3rd, crossed tho Manuknu Bar ab 5.10 p.m., arrivin" alongside tho wharf as above. Experienced from Lyttelton to Wellington strong southerly "md and heavy sea, from thenco to arrival liglit variable wimla. Tho Takapuna leaves for Southern porta at 6 o'clock this evening.
