THE MINISTRY AND THE GALE AT WELLINGTON.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —What is your morning contemporary about ? How is it that we have not had tha usual kind of article, attributing the late gale to the misdoings of the present Ministry ? Clearly they are responsible for the break in tho Cook Strait cables, and for the^repairiog vessels being so far off. Why did they not arrange for having them just within cooee?—l am, etc., A Disgusted Cos servative. Auckland, May 17.
