Putty and Cement.
A putty made of strong glycerin, heavy bodied, mixed with litharge to form a stiff mass, hardens in one hour; it is water and acid proof, according to The Engineer, which says also that a quick, strong cement; to stand steam heat is fine iron tilings ten parts, chloride of lime three parts, water to form a paste. Sets very quickly.
