CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW AT CAMBRIDGE.
IMMENSE SUCCESS.

Hamilton, Thursday. Outsiders could hardly bolieve that Waikato could make such a show of flowors. D. Hay and Son, Auckland, won tho silver medtil for tho best colloction, hut T. Wells, of Cambridge, took mo&b prizes, one exhibit of six blooms being judged equal to anything shown n.6 the Auckland exhibition. Mr llartly, Cambridge, first prize for bouquet. Miss lirooks, Cambridge, took a prize for children.*' bouquet. Miss Willis also too!; several prizes. Tho Show was opened by Mr Lake, M.H.It,, who made an appropriate speech, congratulating (ho originators on the .success of the firs!; Waikaco Show, and for tho treat supplied to the public. No doubt this exhibition will give a good impetus to growers of chrysanthemums and next year more exhibits will come forward. In tho children's bouauets elates, exhibits are tabled by the score, sorao very neat bunches being , shown, i Awards will bo made known in all cases i to-night. Mr Hay, Auckland, had a I magnificent collection of gladioli on ex- j hibition.
