Wellington, this day. A rußLic meeting, convened by the Kail" way League, was held yesterday, nb which Mr Snelson, Mayor of Palmerston North, who came especially for the purpose, presided. Resolutions wero unanimously passed in favour of the central route, and urging that lands should ba opened up alongside the line for flettlement.
