SHOOTING AT THE CAT.

Wellington, this day. James O'Flaherty, charged with attempting the murder of his wife by shooting at her with bail cartridge at an early hour on the morning of the 16th inst., was discharged. His wife, who was the principal witness, swore that the accused was under the influence of drink, and fired shots at the cat.
