London, February 11.
General Booth has arrived in Paris. In conversation with an interviewer he said the prosperity of Australia was of mushroom growth. Little attention was paid there to religious matters. General Booth has selected the Cape Colony for his oversea settlement.
The " Daily News," referring to his visit to Australia, says that if the latter refuses to receive immigrants, her brief record of progress is practically closed.
