London, February 10. At the half-yearly meeting of tho Bank of New Zealand, the Hon. Mr Glynn, Chairman, said the deposits had increased and credit was improving. The Bank had not been aOected by tho failures in Australia. It was'stated that £20,000 was expected to be carried over to next year. The Chairman said the now taxation in New Zealand did not affect the Bank, though ib would considerably affect! the Estates Company. The Bank was reducing advances in Australia, believing it to bg a risk in the present state of affairs there.
