Wellington, this day. The amount of property tax collected io tho 6th February this year was £236,500, i\» against £236,000 to the same day lasc year. The Treasurer's estimate is £355,000, and the Department fully expect ib to be exceeded. The last date of payment to escape the penalty is the IBfch instant, and the Department proceeds against defaulters at the end of the month.
