A MINE CLOSED.
Sydney, February 9
The Junction mine at Broken Hil has shut down, throwing a hundred and thirty men out of employment. The reason is understood to be that the sulphides which constitute the bulk of that ore cannot be worked at a profit.
Shares in the Junction mine at Broken Hill have fallen to 5s 6d.
