AVONDALE PRESBYTERIANS.

The annual meeting of the Avondale Presbyterian Church was held on Monday, Rev. C. Worboys in the chair. From the treasurer's statement it appears thab there is a email debit balance on the year. The report of the Board of Managers expressed regret at the losses the congregation had sustained by the removal of bo many from the district. Several departments of church work had suffered from the same cause. The Sunday - school suffers from the want of teachers. The Bible-classes show signs of improvement, several of those attending having joined the church during the year. A weekly cottage-meeting recently commenced on the Hat is well sustained, and is " a real, live thing." The Chairman reported the congregations in the out stations were good, with the exception of one, which it is found ab present impossible to supply owing to the distance and other causes. It was resolved to hold a conference after the Sunday evening service at an early date, to consider what means can be decided to promote the increased prosperity of the church. The following were elected on the Board of Management: Messrs Smith, Wilson, Morrison, McMurtree, Heron, H. J. Bell, Anderson and Walker.
