No.!.—The Ram and the Goat.
One time there was a young gote which folt bubty, and there was a ole ram which lay in the road, half asleep, a chune his cud. The gote he had been shut up in a pastor ol his life an had never saw a ram, an he sed to his sister, the gote did, ' You jest stan still an see me whipe bhat freak oh bhe face of the earth.'
So bhe gote he wenb tip to bhe ram an ebompt his i'eets and shuke his head frighbful, bub bhe ram he didn't geb up, hut only josfc kepb chune his cud and wotched out between his lashes. Lime by the gote he backed off and tuke a run, and then arose up in the air and come dovvn with his lied on tho ram's hod, wack ! The gote's head was busted, but bhe ole ram he never wank his eye. Then bhe ole ram he smiled wibh his mowbh an sed bo bho bubbe-gobe's sister, 'Pears to me, miss, that kangaroo of yorn is mity careless where he lites He come very near makin' me swoller my cud.' -*
