Ashburton, this day. J- C. Dawson was committed for trial ab tbe Supreme Court, Christchurch, for larceny as bailee of a horse, brap, and b.vrno_s, tha property of Caudau, livery stable keepor, of Westporb. Ho hired the trap last November to go to Foxhill, and drove to Ashburton, where he sold the turnout at an aucbion yard for £20. He was bailcl in two sureties of £200 and himself in £200.
