SALE AT HUNTER AND NOLAN'S.

This morning live yearlings, bred by Mr F. L. Wright, of Bombay, wore submitted to auction at Hunter and Nolan's Yards. A brown colt by Ingomar—Zip was bought by Mr A. Austen for 31 guineas, and the same buyer also secured a ooib by The Dauphin-Duchess for 30 guineas. Mr A. Davis boughb a chesbnub coib by Sb. Leger —Aconito for 41 guineas, and a bay colb by Carbineer — Polly broughb 10_ guineas, Mr J. O'Brien being bhe purchaser. A brown colb by Hippocampus—Raban mare was purchased by Mr E. W. Alison lor 10 guineas. Tho botal realised for bhe yearlings was 120_ guineas. The brood mare Aconibo was nob offered. The mare Polly was bought by Mr Chapman for 4igs., and Fanny by Mr W. Grey for 6gs. Tho brood mare Prudence, with foal ab foob by Brigadier, and served by Castor, was knocked down to Mr A. Austen for 25gs. Several racehorses in training were put up, but failed to find buyers. Colonel Carre's chestnut colt by Corsair was bought by Captain Syms for £17, and the Hippocampus gelding became the property of Mr Walkor at £17.

A Press Association telegram from Gisborne says that at a meeting of the stewards of the Gisborne Racing Club held last evening the horse running as Bookas was provod to bo the well-known horse Vacous (?) (late of Auckland), and disqualified for over. It is suspected bhab several parties are connected, and the meeting was adjourned in order to obtain additional evidence.

Marksman won the Hurdles, paying £3 15s dividend.
