London, February 4. Sir Morell Mackenzie, the eminent physician, died to-day of influenza.

Sir Morell Mackenzie died of syncope following upon influenza.
[Sir Morell Mackenzie, M.D.,musb be considered as one of the greacesb specialists of the century. Ho was born in 1837, and studied medicine in Vienna, Paris, and London. In 1863 ho studied at tho Hospital for Diseases of the Throub, and since thab date has devoted himself exclusively bo bhab organ. His essay on ''The Diseases of bhe Larynx " gained him the Jacksonian prize ab the Royal College of Surgeons. He was a prominent iiguto in Londonsciontiliccircle3, and held numerous imporbanb appoinbrnenbs. His volumes on tho diseases of bhe throat and nose aro standard works, and he was a corresponding member of the Great foreign Schools of Medicine. His attendance on the Emperor Frederick and tho conflict with the Cerman doctors made Sir Morell Mackenzie's name famous all over bhe world, ne was knighted in ISB7. His acconnt of the fatal illness of Frederick the Noble is well-known. Sir Morell was a froquent contributor to tho reviews, his last being an account of a cruiso in an Orienb liner. He was as popular in his profession as he was socially.]
