Dr. Knight met with a mishap on Friday night last - . It appears that he waa out attending a patient, and while being driven down Kyber Pass Road towards Newmarket, a former's cart came down behind, and struck against the box of the buggy wheel, frightening the mare in the trap. The animal turned round sharp, and in doing co upset the buggy, both occupants being thrown out. Dr. Knight sustained bruises on his left arm and hip, but the driver of the buggy escaped without injury. Afterwards the mare and buggy were secured in Boston Road. The mishap has not prevented Dr. Knight attending to his patients as usual.

The Gas Company intimate that full discounts will bo allowed to-morrow, the weather having prevented their customers from getting to the office.
