FIRE AT HELENSVILLE.

A slaughter-house belonging to Mr Isaac McLeod, and situated at Heleneville, wae destroyed by fire about two o'clock on the 24th instant. Ie appears that a man named Thomas Blong was engaged boiling fat in a small room attached to the main building, when suddenly the fat caught hre. He threw water, but that of course did not mend matters ; the building \yas destroyed. It was worth about £50, and there wae no insurance.
