MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.

Hazklbank.—The manager reports that gold is freely seen in the etopes. At the intermediate level the reef is from 3 to 8 inches thick. It was from here that the 401b of picked stone were obtained. The reef in the fourth stope west is four feet tbiok.bufcmixed with the country in the iangingwall portion. The fifth etope has been somewhat disappointing, as the manager fully expected to obtain picked stone there. Crushing is proceeding, but for two days only fife head of stampers have been employed. So far 1950z of amalgam have been obtained, and there are about 601b of picked stone on hand. Try Fluke.-—The manager reports thab the battery ia working satisfactorily, and he is in hopes of keeping crushing without any further stoppage. The ore now going through is from the Kuaotunu reef at No. 2 level, and from the Try Fluke reef at No. 3. Both ar& showing for a good payable return. Up to date there are 2140z of amalgam on band. The trial with the pans takes place next week. Mariposa.—The manager reports that payable ore is being obtained. Gold was got at the No. 2 level when breaking down on Thursday, and rich prospects were again eeen on Saturday. Red Mercury.—The manager reports 130oz of hot-water amalgam a» a result of four days' run of 16 Hours per day, 10 bead of stampers. The reef in the main drive is 18 inches thick, and prospects are improving. Great Mercury.—The manager reports that the big lode in the low level prospects very well. Two etopea are in progress here. At No. 2 level the branch lode footwall side has been yielding good crushing ore. The lead varies from one to three feeb in thickness. The ehot of gold has been proved payable for 65 feet. The drive from the main winze should cub this 74 feet below.
