A young rr.an named John Parkinson (.so" ot Thomas Parkinson), aged twent.y-one yea:.-s, was drowned yesterday evening. ■At the inquest t-o-dav a verdict was returned of accidentally Jrowned while trying to- cross the Otara'River, near Opotiki. Beceased leaves a ycung widow and t'\ o ■children.
