AN EXTRAORDINARY ISSUE.

In addition to a full budget of Literary and Artistic Matter, there ia presented with the number a splendid Chromo-Libho Picture of THE CHAMPAGNE POOL AND TUHUATAHI TERRACE. Wairakei Hot Lakes (in ten colonre), [Since the destruction of the Terraces, this is the greatest marvel in the Hob Lakes country, and was selected by the celebrated German Artist, Kahler, as .the subject for hie large picture representing the natural wondere of the strange region.] Also the followiug chromo-litho plates— Up the Rapids (Wanganui River). Totcanu, Lake Taupo, from a sketch by T. Ryan. Roto Aira and Peninsula of Motdo Puhi, tongakiro and crater of waituka, from a sketch by G. Barry Thomas. Bealey Kiver, Canterbury, showing Mount Rolleston (looking towards Otiru Gorge), from a painting by J. M. Madden. Head of Smith Sound, Otago, N.Z., from a painting by J. M. Madden. In addition to these there are a large number of Fine Art Engravings, includCathedral Peaks, Lake Manafouri. Risan Cove, with the Lion and Pembroke Glacier. Night : An Allegorical Study. A Pretty Little Song, entitled " Christmas Snowflakes, Set to Music, will be included in the issue. The literary budget comprises : — Christmas Ghosts, by J. K. Jerome. Christmas in India, by Rudyard Kipplino.
