PONSONBY "AT HOME."
The concluding dance of the season in connection with tho Ponsonby "At Home" last nighb was one of tho most pleasant of tho season. It took the form of a plain and fancy dress ball. Mossrs C. Macindoo and T. T. Masefield made eflicientM.C.'s, while Adams Bros, provided the dance music. The Ponsonby Hall was handsomely decorated for the occasion. The following is a list of those present:— Mesdames Armifcng-e, Bastard*, Brown, Buchanan, Burton, Edgar, Ilanna, Kelly, Macindoe, Parsons, Tole and Upton ; Misses Bach, Bastard (2), Beale (2), Berry, Browne, Wylde- Brown (2), Devoro ((. leopatra), Dunnett (jet black), Evans, Gilfillan, Gill (Juanita), C. Gill (aesthetic maiden), S. Gill (Hungarian Peasant), Kennedy, Langslord (hospital nurse), F. Langsford (Bohemian: Girl), Lewis, Macindoe (Tarantala), Masefield (Penelope), Mair (Maritana), Owen (Night), Percival (dancing girl), Percival (sea shells), Scott, K. Scott (Oourt lady), Tyo (French waiting maid), Upton, Wallnutt, and C. Wallnutt (Vivandiere). Messrs Bngnall, Baker, Barnett, Baxter, Beale, Breen (clown), Brown, Buchanan, E. \V. Burton, F. Cramond, Cashel, H. Cramond (Duke of Wellington), Dufanr, Edwards, (Wesb End Rowing Club), England, Gibbons (Gondolier), Gilbert, A. A. Gledliill, E. A. Gledhill (athlete), Hammond, Hanna, Hatton, Haybittle, Kennedy, Koch, V. Langsford, Macindoe, Marriner (St. George's Bay Rowing Club), T. T. Masefield (boating costume), R. Masefield (Mark Antony), Morton, McGregor, Noble, O'Meara, Parsons, Shara (Mexican chief), Swales, Upton, Wallnutt, Yates. It is proposed to give the children their usual dance at an early date.
